complete me.

Nothing gets me more excited than a new pair of earrings or handbag! I love to wear huge studs with different designs and bright colors. Earrings are the perfect accessory, I feel naked without them! My favorite earrings are my pearls because I can pair them with anything and still look sophisticated, and my turquoise studs (which i lost unfortunately) because they provide a pop of color to a neutral outfit. But here's a new pair I bought from Aldo for the spring. What are some accessories that make your outfit feel complete?

in the garden

i've been meaning to fuck love you in the garden. maybe that will take the pain away. surrounded by new life blooming in the wind. we breathe heavy while the sweat drips and the dirt soaks our naked bodies. i just wanted us to last but i chose to settle for these last 15 minutes instead.

Virginia hasn't always been for lovers.

"Mr. Cohen, tell the court I love my wife, and it is just unfair that I can't live with her in Virginia." - Richard Loving.

The Loving v. Virginia (1967) case changed history.

This HBO documentary shows Richard and Mildred Loving's struggle to live together as husband and wife in the state of Virginia. Richard was white and Mildred was half Black and half Native-American. At the time Virginia had miscegenation laws which forbid interracial marriage. They were arrested and jailed for being a mixed couple. They then moved to Washington, DC., but were uncomfortable with city life so they moved back to Virginia with their children and lived together secretly until their love story changed history. The video and 16mm film photos not only capture the Supreme Court case, but the emotional aspect of their everyday lives. Their courageous battle to fight this unjust law shows that no matter your age, race, socioeconomic background...anything...you can make a difference in not only your life, but the lives of others as well. They fought for love. Love has no boundaries...it's just love. This powerful song, A Slow Train by the Staple Singers played during the ending credits. It really captured the courage, perseverance, and love between this man and woman. I encourage everyone to watch this phenomenal documentary.
