i have no shame in being crazy...in love.

So i'm usually not the mushy type. But my close friends know that before my current situation I was probably the most fickle person when it came to guys. And if you were an emotional guy, you could just forget it because crying on my shoulder wasn't going to work for me. I like to keep things low key, but sometimes I just want to yell out loud, write on the walls, and twerk a little.

So maybe this post isn't so low key...but I met him....my laughing gas, my tour guide, my biggest critic, and my biggest inspiration. This crazy man fits so well after flipping my utopian world upside down. So if you see me smiling for no reason, you will know why and I hope we never exhaust all of our possibilities.

simple treasures

I remember my grandmother used to have these ugly blue and white Victorian dishes. They were very old, some had cracks, and most of the time they never matched. They were far from perfect, but I would do anything to eat off those plates right now just because they were hers...

Does everything in your house match? Mix up patterns, add some color, mix old and new, eat off the dishes you love. Who cares if it matches the tablecloth or the paint on the walls? Make your space about you! It's those simple little things that make your house feel like home. :)

In reality...

You won't find your husband in college,
you won't have a job when you graduate,
people aren't so nice,
you will have a lot of heartbreaks,
the world is round, and not a perfect square with four corners.
Everything can't be planned. Shit happens.
BUT you will make it, just enjoy the ride, the good stuff is just a little further down the road.

Paradise

Today is the first day of spring. The time for warm weather...cherry blossoms...maybe even a fresh start. I've always enjoyed the spring, but in the spring 15 years ago my grandmother left for Paradise.  There is no love like a grandmother's love. You can do no wrong in her eyes. I didn't expect her departure.  I miss her smile and her head full of curly hair.  But I'm sure it feels like spring all year round in Paradise and who would want to miss out on that?

the weekend

I live for the weekend! After a monotonous week of work, I spent the weekend in the sunshine state. The road trip took about 14 hours, which was the longest I've ever driven. It was so much fun! We stopped in Daytona and West Palm Beach. We left Friday night and got back at 3am this morning, and I still made it to work by 9am! But I'm exhausted! But I'd gladly do it all over again with him, but next time i'll need a day to recuperate. So what did you do this weekend?
